Overtime
Overtime is an Overwatch time mechanic.
When the game time runs out, the game can be extended by the losing team.
The losing team being the attacker or the team that has not captured the objective (yet).
This time extension is a countdown that is ticking down.
If the losing team doesn't touch the objective:
If it expires, the round or the game ends.
As long as the losing team touches the objective:
The game continues. On touch, the countdown is reset.
This means that a losing player can touch the objective, then not touch it for two seconds, and then touch it again to let the game continue.
Important to note is that the countdown becomes faster and faster, the longer overtime is active.
This means at the beginning of overtime, a player may not touch the objective for 3 seconds but after a minute of overtime, 1 second or more without a touch would cause the countdown to run out.
